iQHAWE Media, led by Renaé Mangena and Anastatia Nkhuna, is a femme-led agency offering a wide array of services including digital content creation, social media management, PR & marketing strategies, and creative event production. Central to their innovative initiatives is iQHAWE Magazine, dedicated to Africa’s creative pioneers. The magazine celebrates emerging creative communities and fosters connections between creatives and industries, enhancing client engagements with valuable insights. iQHAWE Media stands as a significant presence within South African youth culture, embodying and championing its creative spirit.

I am a storyteller hailing from Kraaifontein, Cape Town who is living and journeying in Johannesburg. By profession I am a film director, in the space of TV commercials, music videos and short films. My brain child Maak ’n Plan podcast has been a vehicle for my curiosity and inquisitive nature to tell the stories of South African artists and bring people together. My love and passion for the South African guise continues to grow and the need for sharing these stories grows even more. I have dedicated the last few years to developing ways in which we can make the process of sharing knowledge accessible to people from all walks of live.
Other Village People (OVP)
Other Village People (OVP), founded in 2015 in Durban, South Africa, creates inclusive spaces for LGBTQIAP2S+ communities to connect, celebrate, and express their true selves. Under OVP, three main platforms thrive: Same Sex Saturday (SSS), a recurring party supporting Queer DJs across Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban; Grounded, offering intimate care-centered gatherings like hikes and dinners; and Queertopia, an annual Queer festival reimagining societal norms through multidisciplinary experiences. Led by Andiswa Dlamini (AN.D) and Kefiloe Siwisa, OVP aims to normalize and celebrate diversity while fostering meaningful connections and community empowerment.
Vuyo McGlad
Vuyo McGlad, a cultural entrepreneur and event curator from Johannesburg, has dedicated his life to fostering creativity and community through innovative cultural experiences. In 2019, he founded Narowbi Events, known for its unique and immersive cultural events like Soundcheck and Narowbi Events. Vuyo’s contributions to South Africa’s cultural scene include providing platforms for artists, promoting community engagement, and inspiring new generations of entrepreneurs and creatives. His work with Narowbi has earned acclaim, with City Press hailing it as ‘Joburg’s hottest alternative events’. Vuyo’s journey underscores the impact of creativity, perseverance, and passion in achieving remarkable success and inspiring others.
