THE VINYL REVIVAL AND ITS FUTURE IN THE DIGITAL AGE
Presented by Vinyl Kulcha
Where analog meets algorithm — the culture, community, and comeback of vinyl in the digital era
Vinyl isn’t dead — it’s just getting started. As music continues its meteoric shift into streaming, AI, and digital overload, a quiet counterculture is making noise: the vinyl revival. This session explores the soul of analog in a world of convenience, the subcultures preserving it, and the innovators spinning its future.
Whether you’re a seasoned selector, a crate-digger, or a curious newcomer, this conversation is a deep dive into vinyl culture in South Africa and beyond — from distribution to DJing, collecting to community.
