The Basha Uhuru Creative Conference brings together youth leaders, creatives, cultural workers, artists, entrepreneurs, poets, performers, organisers and industry voices for three days of dialogue, skills-sharing, performance and civic imagination.
Held as part of Basha Uhuru Freedom Festival 2026, the Creative Conference explores the festival theme:

Across the programme, participants are invited to reflect on South Africa’s past, engage with urgent questions facing young people today, and build practical tools for shaping the future.
From constitutional literacy and youth activism to music industry knowledge, theatre, poetry and creative entrepreneurship, the Creative Conference is where memory becomes action.
